ABOUT US
Ravensby Firewood are a fledgling small business based on a rustic farm in Barry on the East Coast of Scotland.
We supply top quality kiln-dried firewood anywhere in mainland Scotland and also to the Scottish Islands, namely Skye, Shetland, Orkney, Arran, Harris & Lewis.
We are run by husband and wife Emma & Stuart and have a
specially selected wee team by our side. Our team members have a mixed background including muiltiple combined years of military & law enforcement service. We try to ensure that quality, punctuality, affordability and cheerfulness is always at the forefront of what we do.

AREAS WE DELIVER TO...
ANGUS, DUNDEE & NORTH FIFE
We deliver LOOSE TIPPED TRAILER LOADS, BULK-BAGS, FIREWOOD CRATES, GRAB BAGS & GIANT NETS to our local area. We use our own vehicles & drivers for most of the deliveries in this area.
MAINLAND SCOTLAND (Including The Highlands)
We deliver our FIREWOOD CRATES & GIANT NETS the length & breadth of Scotland using our shipping partner Freightroute as they are specialists in transporting bulky goods. ISLAND DELIVERIES (Arran, Orkney, Skye, Shetland, Harris & Lewis)
We are proud to offer our firewood to the residents of the above islands (must be on the mainland of the appropriate island). Please check out the Island Firewood Delivery page for more details.
We are very fortunate to live and work in the beautiful Scottish countryside and ensuring we source our logs from sustainably managed, Forestry Commission regulated forests is essential to us. By doing so we ensure that trees felled for firewood are part of a regeneration program which means the tree lined countrysides of Scotland can be enjoyed generation upon genaration.
We are WOODSURE REGISTERED (only supplying Kiln-Dried logs under 20% moisture) and are a FORESTRY COMMISSION PROFESSIONAL OPERATOR. This means that the firewood we provide is monitored and regulated on an annual basis by Governmental Bodies to ensure quality and that we meet their high standards.
We source the vast majority of our logs from local sources within Angus & Scotland. This ensures we support the Scottish forestry & farming community wherever possible. When hardwood is scarce we do import some from Europe. This is a common practice within the UK firewood industry as there simply is not enough local / UK hardwood felled to supply every customer year upon year.

VARIOUS HOT BURNING HARDWOOD SPECIES
We provide a specially selected mixture of
Hardwood species that ensure long & hot burn-times as well as affordability. A mix of Beech, Birch, Alder, Sycamore is generally provided in our Giant Nets, Loose Tipped Loads & Bulk-Bags.
We also supply Birch & Oak in our Firewood Crates (Oak is a premium long burning wood and Birch is our most popular product).
THE BEST SOFTWOOD AVAILABLE TO THE UK
We ONLY provide Larch softwood as it is the hottest, longest burning most dense softwood available in the UK. We will not fill your bags or loads with inferior pine or other softwoods that burn too quick!
