All Ravensby Firewood logs are kiln-dried, screened and cleaned to reduce loose bark, excess debris, and smaller waste pieces, helping provide a cleaner load with more usable firewood.

HARDWOOD LOGS are ideal for customers looking for a longer-lasting burn, strong heat output, and a traditional firewood experience.

Our kiln-dried mixed hardwood commonly includes species such as Ash, Birch, Beech, Alder, Oak, and Sycamore. The exact blend supplied will vary depending on seasonal availability and may contain one, or multiple, hardwood species within the same load.

STOVEWOOD (LARCH) is a more economical option and is popular with customers wanting fast heat output and excellent value for money.

We use Larch exclusively as it burns hotter and longer than Stovewood such as Pine or Spruce.

Stovewood is suitable for enclosed wood burners only.

10" LOGS: The Industry Standard Choice
The kiln-dried logs we supply as standard are cut upto 10" in length and are suitable for the vast majority of wood burners, multi-fuel stoves, and open fires across Angus & Dundee.

10" Logs are the most common firewood log size supplied by thousands of merchants within the UK firewood industry due to its excellent balance of burn time, heat output, and compatibility with medium to large stoves.

Some suppliers provide a 9" log, compared to a similar-width 9" log, a 10" log contains approximately 11% more burnable wood, helping provide longer burn times, stronger heat output, and fewer trips to reload your stove.

8" LOGS: For Compact Stoves, Smaller Fireboxes and Hot Tubs
We also offer 8" kiln-dried logs for customers with compact wood burners, narrower fireboxes, or smaller fireplaces where standard logs may be too large.

Due to the cutting process, 8" loads naturally contain more smaller pieces and loose bark, which many customers use as excellent natural kindling.

Our excellent experienced drivers are used to the tight twists and turns of the Angus & Dundee streets and deliver loose tipped kiln-dried firewood every day using compact transit tipping vehicles. Flat bed tipping vans allow easier access to tighter driveways and delivery locations than larger lorries or tipping trailers can manage meaning we can often get your firewood delivered exactly where it is convenient for you to stack away.

Most log deliveries are completed within 2–5 working days, although delivery times can occasionally be longer during peak winter periods.
